Atlanta Hawks, UPS Recognize 5 Minority-Owned Businesses In New ‘Lift The 404′ Initiative

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Omar Kinnebrew has always had a passion for fine, hand-crafted garments — tailored suits, hats, ties, you name it.

His dad’s closet, which was filled with dapper outfits, inspired him as a young boy.

“Whether it was a double breasted suit, whether it was a sport coat jeans and cowboy boots, my dad was always impeccably dressed and that was something I wanted to emulate,” said Kinnebrew, founder and CEO of Bespokuture.

The entrepreneur started his minority-owned business from the ground up back in 2016.

“There are so many minority-owned businesses that one, don’t get the spotlight or the funding to really grow and be able to move forward in a manner in which they’re capable of,” he said.

Shining a spotlight on Atlanta’s minority-owned businesses is the focus of a new initiative by the Atlanta Hawks and UPS called ‘Lift the 404.’

The local businesses get $5,000, two tickets to an Atlanta Hawks game, and a custom-framed Hawks jersey.

“We really hope one it will inspire others to really go out and start that business and also we want to encourage those businesses that are already in business. We want to encourage them to keep going, continue the hard work,” said Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Atlanta Hawks Camye Mackey.

Kinnebrew is thankful to be recognized as one of ‘Lift the 404′s’ five recipients, and he’s got big plans to continue pouring his heart and soul into his growing business.

“It means so much to me, as the owner and CEO of Bespokuture, and so much to the brand and our clients to let them know that Bespokuture is doing something good out there,” said Kinnebrew.
