Black Family Launches New Online Business Focusing On Personal Development

Amidst the backdrop of pursuing the American dream, the Ayeni family has embarked on a transformative journey, launching a new online business centered around personal development. Originating from Nigeria in the early 2000s, Sam Ayeni arrived in the United States with aspirations of achieving success and creating a better life for himself and his loved ones.Driven by a strong work ethic and a desire to support his family back home in Africa, Ayeni worked tirelessly to obtain a college degree while simultaneously juggling full-time employment. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the US Army, serving his adopted country with honor and dedication. However, despite his diverse experiences as a soldier, pastor, IT auditor, and business owner in the financial services sector, Ayeni found himself unfulfilled in his pursuit of happiness and financial freedom.

Reflecting on Napoleon Hill’s teachings in Think and Grow Rich, Ayeni realized that true education extends beyond academic qualifications—it encompasses the development of one’s mind to acquire anything desired without infringing upon the rights of others. Dissatisfied with traditional career paths, Ayeni sought a business opportunity that aligned with his values of personal growth, helping others, and reclaiming autonomy over his life.

Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ayeni family’s new online business focuses on personal development, offering individuals the tools and resources to achieve holistic fulfillment and financial success. By prioritizing values such as freedom, authenticity, and empowerment, the business provides a platform for individuals to cultivate their minds and pursue their aspirations on their terms.

“I’ve always believed in the power of education and personal growth,” says Sam. “With our new online business, we aim to empower others to unlock their full potential and live life on their own terms. No longer bound by traditional constraints, we prioritize fulfillment and personal growth above all else.”

The Ayeni family’s journey serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the limitless possibilities that arise when one dares to pursue their dreams. As they embark on this new venture, they invite others to join them on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Black Pilot Makes History, Opens New Aviation Training School In Florida

Captain Barrington Irving, who made history as the first Black and youngest pilot to fly solo around the world when he was 23 years old, has founded the Barrington Irving Technical Training School in Miami, Florida. Through the school, he aims to empower aspiring pilots, particularly people of color, with the skills needed for success in the aviation industry.Teaming up with industry and community partners such as NBAA, Miami-Dade County, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, Atlantic Aviation, and Bombardier, Irving has launched a professional and technical training center in South Florida in 2022.

The goal is to create a diverse pool of students from local, national, and international backgrounds, focusing on various business aviation disciplines. The center promises innovative programs, training approaches, and specialized technical and professional certifications.

In its first year, Irving proudly celebrated the graduation of 15 individuals who successfully completed his training program. Each of the students in the graduating class also secured jobs in the aviation sector. The ceremony, held at Opa-locka Airport in Miami, marked a significant moment for Irving, as it’s where he began his own aviation journey.

“I am so proud of them, and to know what they started from,” Irving told News 7 Miami. “Opa-locka Airport is where I got my start. These young people are signing with various companies in the community who said, you know what, ‘We’re going to give you a chance, we’re going to give you an opportunity to flourish within our industry.'”

Black Couple, Owners Of $100M Private Mortgage Bank, Launch New Youth Investment Program Series

Meet Troy and Ebony Smith, a married couple who are the founders of G1 Investment, the only private lender with $100M in lending capacity in Charles County, Maryland, the wealthiest Black county in America. In addition to teaching their own three young girls about financial literacy, they have now launched a free initiative called Youth Investment Program Series 1 (YIPs1), where children ages 7 to 17 can unite and illustrate the power of pooling economic resources and learn the intricate details of becoming a lender and real estate investor.

As previously reported, Troy and Ebony’s firm makes them the first African-American mortgage lender to have delegated underwriting authority over a $100 million warehouse line.

Their Youth Investment Program will be the first in a collection of series where children receive a rare opportunity to explore and analyze the details involved with mortgage finance and real estate investing while experiencing the power of pooled economic resources. It will only accept the first 10,000 young people and teens to take advantage of the free registration.

Each student will receive a digital monthly case-study curriculum package based on their education level that will do a deep dive into a recent mortgage transaction or a real estate investment purchase. The curriculum includes learning Finance Terms, which encourages them to learn words beyond what the modern school system teaches; Math Problems, which encourages them to appreciate how math is used in everyday business; and History, which will include case studies and historical facts relevant to the transaction/investment.

Access to custom-curated educational content from real-life professionals is precious. However, the most profound opportunity of this program is woven into how these innovative visionaries plan to use their lending resources to create wealth for our children.

“It’s one thing to teach a child how money works and the importance of financial literacy; however, that knowledge and information in the hands of a child, while it may impact their overall outlook on how to shape opportunities for their future, is often-times left as a seed that has no soil in which to germinate and grow. We must be the soil, water, and light for their knowledge seed, and that is what we intend to do with this program,” expressed Mr. Smith.

Because regulatory restrictions prohibit children from pooling money together to lend or invest, the money they earn will be credited toward a “membership fee” for a monthly curriculum based on their age group that is a part of the program.

To register your child, please visit this link:

Business owners that would like to provide an apprenticeship/internship opportunity and be recognized as a Business Participator in this Series, please visit this link:

His grandmother was the CEO of a community development credit union in Springfield, Massachusetts, and was the founder of the first Black-owned youth credit union program in the country. Troy began helping her with those initiatives when he was just 7 years old.

Black Mompreneur Launches All-Natural Food Products For Other Breastfeeding Mothers

Krystal Duhaney, an African American entrepreneur and mom herself from San Bernadino County, California, is the founder and owner of a popular lactation brand called Milky Mama. After struggling to breastfeed her son, she was inspired to create the brand to provide other moms with nutritious food and drink products that would help them while breastfeeding.

“I sought help from my healthcare provider and was told to ‘just give him formula,'” Duhaney told Ebony. “I was determined to breastfeed, so I educated myself and was able to breastfeed my son for two years.”

Duhaney, who is also a registered nurse, used her skills as well as her love for baking to develop a lactation-boosting cookie recipe when she had her second child. It was a success as it definitely increased her milk supply. Having experienced breastfeeding struggles herself, she thought she had to share her discovery with other moms who are also going through the same situation.

In 2015, she launched Milky Mama and offered a wide range of products that help breastfeeding mothers increase milk production such as cookies, brownies, drink mixes, and other herbal supplements. Aside from that, Duhaney’s company also provides support through online breastfeeding courses, lactation consultations, and support groups on Facebook and live Q&As.

Throughout her journey, Duhaney has also become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant which was important for her since Black women lack representation in the field. For this reason, Duhaney also created the Milky Mama Scholarship Fund which aims to increase diversity in the lactation field by encouraging more Black women to become certified lactation consultants.

“Due to this lack of representation, it’s more difficult for Black breastfeeding mothers to get assistance from someone that understands the unique struggles that Black breastfeeding mothers may face. By increasing the representation in the lactation field, I hope that will also contribute to greater breastfeeding rates within the Black community and better outcomes for Black maternal health,” she said.
